Many people leave prison with inadequate support needs. Making the transition from custody to society can be incredibly difficult, especially for those who lack the necessary help to obtain work or a place to live. As a result, ex-offenders may find themselves destitute or in prison again.
We’ve created services to help ex-offenders reintegrate into society by providing access to education, training, and job possibilities. Our experienced teams work with each individual to determine how they can reintegrate into their communities, including how they may usefully contribute.
The group-based community activities they are urged to participate in assist each person in transitioning back into their community and provide them with the resilience of being supported by a group, increasing their chances of having a positive new beginning.
Our services include:
Advancing education and career development.
Signposting the provision of advice, support and assistance.
Increasing or co-ordinating opportunities for such persons to engage with service providers to enable those providers to adapt services to meet our client’s needs.
We run support groups where beneficiaries support each other by sharing their experiences on drugs, alcohol etc.
We give our clients housing advice as needed and ensure they are beneficiaries of what is due them.
We support clients in terms of providing information, support and training that will prepare them for the workplace.
